April 17 - Morning at the National Zoo & Aquarium

Recently I had the good fortune to go on a zoo photo shoot at the National Zoo and Aquarium in Canberra - courtesy of a birthday gift voucher .

First stop was with the Meerkats.

March II and April I

It has been somewhat hectic for the past few weeks.  We made the decision to refurbish the kitchen, which also means replacing the cork flooring.

What with working on the kitchen design,  removing ALL the items in the old kitchen before the new kitchen was fitted,  and lifting the old cork flooring - there has not been a lot of time left.  Once the cork was lifted, everywhere the underlying floor boards were nailed to the joists, decking screws were also put in - now no longer have a 'talking floor'.

The new kitchen is now in place, and works well  and looks great.  A floating bamboo floor is being put in on Monday (and the old skirting boards still have to come off).    Once the floor is down, the kick panels on the cupboards are put in place and I can sign off on the kitchen, the floor and install a new 'fridge.

Anyway, on to the photos - not many but I managed some.
