Frosts, colds, asthma - not the best month for us.  Out and about most mornings, but did not venture far afield.

The birds around are regulars both in summer and winter.  There have been some reports of spring visitors, but they haven't turned up in my wanderings yet, but the pair of Tawny Frogmouths is back in the area and remaining hidden from the Magpies and Currawongs that harass them.

Hi All - Winter is upon us.  No rain, but lots of frosts.

Also went looking near the Carillon - the anchor chain is at the rear of the HMAS Australia Memorial.

We also did another quick trip to Queensland for a second Staffy - this one, Esme, is only 12 months old.  We stayed in an Airbnb at Ironbark Ridge Winery near Purga, Qld for two nights and highly recommend it.

Back again with May's offerings.

Starting out with a visit to the National Arboretum - I was looking for places to get some autumn colour with the drone.

With the loss of Molly, we were very unsettled.  I was not walking regularly (I hate walking without a dog), so I started looking for another Staffy pup.  Plenty of Blacks, whites and Blues available, but no reds.  I was lucky enough to find a four year old desexed female Staffy that needed to be re-homed.  It was in Caloundra so off we set. Canberra - Wellington -  Goondiwindi - Caloundra, where we had accommodation for four nights.

Back home, Pepper settled in happily.  Doggy door training took a day or so.  Meeting other dogs was a little cautious at first, but later, being surrounded by three Malamutes at the dog park didn't bother her.
