November/December 2016

This month starts off with a couple of images of our local creek showing the growth following a very wet spring.

Consequently 'Weeds and Seeds' have been mowing regularly..

Our King's Park Bottlebrushes flowered from mid- November to early December and were regularly visited by the resident Red Wattlebirds and passing Rainbow Lorikeets.

A morning visit to the Australian National Botanic Gardens provided native flowers in profusion, but few birds.  The morning was hot and windy.

We were fortunate to have both Willie Wagtails and Magpie Larks nesting in the same tree and the young ones fledged within a couple of days of each other.

October - November 2016

Recovery underway - being slowed by an extended hay-fever season.

We had a very enjoyable drive out through Sutton, Gundaroo, Gunning and Dalton to Boorowa and return.

At the end of the month we had five days at Mollymook travelling down via Kangaroo Valley.  Not much in the way of fishing, but enjoyable nonetheless.

The above photo had a horrible grey sky, so I experimented with a textured overlay to get this result.

I spent a couple of hours at the local zoo - and it seemed as if it was the tiger day.

A kiddie ran past, which attracted the attention

The above photo had a horrible blue cast, so again it was looking at an overlay and some post processing magic to get his shot.

These last three were all I could get of the sky while waiting on the supermoon.  Any change of a moon photo was blotted out by clouds until about 9.0pm when the moon was well up in the sky.
