February 2020 - Finally Rain

February arrived with fire, smoke, then hail and finally rain.

The fire continued to smoulder for many days - it was finally declared OUT towards the end of February

We did a day trip to the coast to check on the Clyde Mountain fire grounds.  Some trees are recovering, others may not recover at all, only time will tell.

Towards the end of February we drove up to Brisbane for an Engagement Party.  The trip north was over three days, driving up the Newell Highway, then through the New England area.  It is marvellous how the country changed over a 5 week period.  After the rain, nearly everywhere was green and grass in places was knee high.
